Timo Teern is an internationally trained actor, having honed his craft at the prestigious Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK and being currently based in Helsinki, Finland.
A tall and physically imposing actor, Timo combines strength with a natural charisma, conveying his characters with authenticity and depth. He is often cast in roles that demand authority or vulnerability, such as a ruthless general or a simple, lonely man in search of love. His versatility allows him to portray a wide range of human experiences with truthfulness and emotional resonance.
Fluent in Finnish, English, Estonian, and Russian, Timo possesses an exceptional linguistic and cultural range. Additionally, he is trained in stage and screen combat by the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, proficient in three weapons. His skills extend to music, where he plays the bass guitar and sings.
Timo's screen credits include the Netflix feature Lapua 1976 (produced by Blankface), the Emmy-nominated series Wingman (produced by YLE), and the Rose d'Or-nominated Stop Nyqvist (produced by YLE).
His stage credits include notable productions such as Piaf by Pam Gems, A Bright Room Called Day by Tony Kushner, and As You Like It by William Shakespeare.
Timo's voice work includes Winter War Stories for the War and Peace Museum Muisti, the Kallion Kimppa radio drama for YLE, and the Finnish voiceover for Netflix's My Dad the Bounty Hunter.
